Views, Vistas and Weather

Yellowstone park is definitely not lacking in incredible views, and we saw plenty. I thought I would share some of my favorites with you.

Here you can really see just how much standing dead there is still, from the fires I mentioned in an earlier post:

The weather was especially gorgeous on the first day, which is when I snapped this one:

We got a bit of rain on the second day, but only for about an hour and it was just enough to cool us off. I took this one as the rain clouds were coming in:

There WAS a blue heron on the other side of this little pond, but he flew off before I was able to snap a picture, the bugger. It's still beautiful on it's own, though:

If you look closely at this one, you can see what we think are either big horn sheep or pronghorn (antelope) up on the hillside:

Finally, I took this one near where we camped because it looks like a road I could be happy living on for the rest of my life:

Next time, I will share some pictures of some of the gorgeous wild flowers we saw along the way!

Oh dear Chelle, you know your humor cracks me up "wicked fierce"! :) But I am falling in LOVE with this site. You also know I LOVE nature so this site is mind blowing. This last batch of photos is breathless. LUCKY YOU!!!

When you said you could live the rest of your life on that road, I knew exactly what you meant. I love roads like that. The way it winds along with the grass in the middle, very romantic and like something you'd see on a greeting card. Just gorgeous.

I also am blown away by the blue and green up there. I'm in the southwest so It's rarely that green except in the mountains. You photos are incredibly clear and the colors are just stunning. And...I could see (with my magnifying glass -- LOL) the pronghorn sheep or kangaroos up on that hill. I think they were feral kangaroos. LOL :)

I am addicted to this site now. I love it love it love it. Great Job!

I am hiking 2 - 3 times a week at the crack of dawn (only time I can go due to work. Also due to my work load I have little time for blogging. But a lot of people seem to slow down in summer....except YOU! LOL :) :)

Anyway, you made my day with these photos. Hugs and love, RainforestRobin :) :)

@ Robin ~ Thank you!! You are so sweet. I am happy to hear that you get to hike so much, I'm planning on going on one tomorrow by the snake river.

We have blue heron and osprey and eagles and hopefully I will take lots of photos of some. :)

Gash darned, that looks beautiful. If I wasn't so afraid of nature, I'd be living there myself. But since I'm a little scared Belgian boy, I prefer to live with crazy people, instead of crazy animals. :D

Very pretty! Isn't nature great? I wish I could just go to the place i grew up and sit on the swing and smell the air.
